WWE has announced the release of Maryse Ouellet, who had been out for a few months due to abdominal/hernia surgery. The company issued the following statement:
"WWE has come to terms on the releaseof WWE Raw Diva Maryse as of today, October 28, 2011. WWE wishes Maryse the best in all of her future endeavors."
Maryse posted the following to her Twitter:
I'M OUT and sexier than ever! Thanks toall my fans, colleagues and @WWE Universe. Time to party! 'Release' party tonight at @trousdale LA. Im Happy, imSmiling, and FREE.

We can now confirm that Maryse's release from WWE was a decision made by the company as opposed to Maryse requesting a release. There were conflicting reports earlier. As previously stated, she's not upset withthe decision.
